Dr. Marcia Ostashewski, (Centre for Sound Communities, CBU) and Graham Marshall (Council Member, Membertou First Nation) will lead a project to explore the potential to bring digital film and music production to Membertou to support community economic and cultural development, including Mi’kmaq language revitalization. In the background is Clifford Paul, one of the co-authors of this team's award winning paper.

Dr. Heather Sparling, Cape Breton University, and Kenneth MacKenzie, Gaelic College will explore ways to better integrate traditional songs into Gaelic language instruction.

Latispanica Cultural Association members will get to explore their experiences with the recent pandemic through the lens of creative writing with Dr. Andres Arteaga, Saint Mary's University.

Dr. April Mandrona of NSCAD and Chris O'Neill, Executive Director of Ross Creek Centre for the Arts to share writing and visual arts practices with community members in the Valley area.

Dr. Karin Cope, NSCAD will work with Kim Thompson and her staff at The Deanery to explore artist-centered research, and its role in promoting social engagement in rural communities.
